All Quiet on the Nano Front

We’re more than 2/3 through November, and I haven’t posted since the end of October. What’s wrong with me? How am I keeping you, my rabid readers, updated on my progress if I don’t post?

Part of it was nothing to report. I hadn’t finished my Nano prep, and with things that I deemed necessary to prepare for Comic Con the second weekend of the month, I didn’t get too far with things until recently. But once I got the prep done, I’ve done some kicking out of words.

I’m still woefully behind (about 15K as of today, the 21st), but that’s okay. Being behind like this has been a breath of fresh air to some degree. It has kicked me back to my early years with the event, and how I had to push through a massive pile of words to get to the end victorious. While I might not have quite the deficit I had when I was a Nano pup, there is much to say about getting back into the joy of writing, something I’ve needed.

Oh, and I’ve been a mentor, to varying degrees. Being sick last week had me dropping off the map and barely able to keep my eyes open. I’ve improved greatly, but I still feel out of it. I hope the final week will see me productive and rested. It can happen in November.

Who’s out there writing in Nano, too? How has your progress gone? Any advice you wish you had? Anything you’d like to share with the class?
